This is a SLIPPERY slope. Which rights. We will have new ones created everyday. The Constitution never intended to apply to SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS.

I agree that the constitution should not be used to promote the interests of special groups. But it should certainly protect minorities of all sorts. What about an ERA that is far more general so that it applies not just to sexual orientation, but race, creed, and gender as well?

Frankly I think that's absolultey good stuff.

NAMBLA will love this suggestion.

Sexual orientation is a choice. And the moment you pass anything that allows the homosexual community power to go after the churches they will do so and eliminate them from the earth through discrimination lawsuits.
Alice Lindley, 29.06.2012, 13:55
I have no idea what this person is rambling on about the homosexuals going after the churches. I disagree. I think he or she should seek mental health treatment. I feel frightened to think that this person can vote.

Perhaps you should educate yourself! IF you think the radical homosexual community would not for a moment hesitate to sue churches out of existance with the help of the federal laws you are kidding yourself.

But then again 50 years ago if you had told people there there would be an argument about what was marriage they would have laughed you off the street.

Fact one the moment the feds have a law in place that makes churches unable to refuse a "wedding" at their worship center they will have to decide to either follow the word of God that speaks a strong warning against that sexual choice or allow homosexual weddings.

If they stand against it the combined powers of ACLU the feds etc will empty their bank accounts with lawsuit after lawsuit just as has been tried with the Boy Scouts.

So go ask the boy scouts how much money they have spent defending their beliefs!

The only thing that will eliminate churches is education and logic. The more you know, the less what they teach has any relevancy.

Churches have nothing to do with this proposal, though.
Charles, 06.07.2012, 02:34
Ah yes the old all religious people are hayseed hicks. I'd be glad to talk about spooky effects at a distance, multidimensional universe theory or any other scientific theory you wish to talk about.

Churches have everything to do with this proposal, their end will happen at least their above ground buildings and organization will end the moment this goes into law.

The homosexual agenda has already tried to take down the Boy Scouts, and have taken down the Girl Scouts.

Anyone voting for this is voting for the removal of religion in America. And considering how much better the nation is now that God has been outlawed in public schools I cant wait to see how your learning will improve the quality of life.

For the record I am educated, and I don't hate anyone. But I will defend the rights of religion to practice as they see fit according to the word of God.

Before you laugh it off perhaps you should try reading God's word. I at least read the scientific theories to test their logic and validation.

For instance every time you see someone kill a former wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/husband you are seeing a law of the Bible in practice, lack of forgiveness by a person allows this type of behavior to grow root.

Oh one other thing, I work in mental health as a Network/Exchange/SQL/Systems Analyst, hope they don't find out I am a hayseed religious nut! ;-P

Golly Gee
Josh Musket, 06.07.2012, 02:54
Luckily for you, America protects your rights as a "hayseed religious nut," unlike the people you seem to be so worried about. And why is it you guys always end up working in IT (I'm genuinely curious about that part)?

Seriously, the gay agenda is... to not get treated like subhumans. That's their only agenda. They don't care to regulate you. Even the BS and the GS are still there, how about that. Expanding other people's rights doesn't infringe on yours. It really doesn't - you can still worship as you please. No one is marching into churches and taking away Bibles, etc. In fact, the only people who commit acts of violence against churches these days are pretty much racist bigots burning down Black churches.

Where should I start reading this supposed word of "god"? The Koran? What word of "god"? The Bible was clearly written by dudes, I read that already. Many of the laws, like killing and raping people for whatever reason - really have no place in a fair and just society. I didn't laugh, I got pissed off at the sickness inherent in those teachings.

Oh yeah, and "god" doesn't belong in school (unless it's a private religious school), regardless of what you may believe morally - to include it is unconstitutional, as it infringes on other people's beliefs. Not everyone is a monotheist (or worships the same one "god").
