I have served over 30 years in federal and state government.
I don't know where you get the idea that anyone gets well healed
by serving in the military or civil service. We sacrifice a great deal
to serve our country and I still drive a 12 year old car.
Focus your anger on those that deserve it!

This is an insulting and vulgar idea. I can only presume that the author is actively promoting a communistic system where all Americans would be paid the same, because that is far less irrational than to assume that the President of the United States, a lead engineer for NASA, or a four-star general should be compensated at a salary less than or equal to the American median income.

Federal employees already typically receive lower compensation for the same jobs than private sector employees, while being perpetually badgered by ill-informed, unpatriotic charlatans.

What is good for the military should be good for all government employees. If the military pay scale is OK for our heros, then it should be OK for federal employees. There is a huge difference between civil service and military. Remember it is public service after all. It sounds like some people are better that others and the ones doing the most for the country are left with the short end of the stick again. So what is your sacrifice again?
