Set the American dollar to the Labor standard.

$1 = 1 hour of minimum wage level labor. This would put permanent controls on inflation and minimum wage and return value to the effort the American worker contributes to society.

What would be considered minimum wage level work? Who sets that standard? Does a construction worker digging ditches get paid one dollar an hour while a clerk gets the same? Furthermore, in the transition period, how many people could afford to live off of 8 dollars a day?
