It is common today for governmental entities to pass laws and regulations at the behest of politically favored groups and individuals. Regulatory and legislative capture result in rules which under the pretext of advancing the common good harm those with less lobbying dollars. Putting regulations and laws under a judicial microscope would weed out a lot of bad laws and regulations.

I'm an engineer. Much of what I do is subject to review, product testing, or systems testing. This process should also apply to the laws that Congress passes. This way, loopholes might be detected and closed before greedy corporate lawyers discover them.
