A revised and expanded version of the Equal Rights Amendment

Proposed revised version of the Equal Rights Amendment:
Section 1: Equality of rights and freedoms under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States, by any State, or by any institution, public or private, on the basis of race, skin color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, pregnancy, religion, creed, political affiliation, citizenship, disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or family status.
Section 2: Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
Section 3: This amendment shall take effect immediately upon the date of ratification.
